Audiences Yorkshire recognises that in today’s globalised and digitised world the relationship between culture, creativity and audience engagement is becoming ever more complex. You’ve told us at our Industry Briefings and via our Client Survey how your needs are starting to change too. Therefore, we want to be able to respond more effectively to your requirements and, in doing so, transform both our way of working with you and your way of engaging with audiences.
To this end, and with support from Arts Council England’s Thrive! Programme, we have embarked on an exciting period of development. We now want to share our plans with you. Initially, we held two consultation sessions for Audiences Yorkshire Members and lapsed Members to discuss what the future holds for audience engagement in the region. We wanted to explore the challenges of engaging audiences and create some shared insights into how to tackle these challenges. The first event was on Wednesday 13 August in York, click here to read about the day and watch a vodcast from our speakers. The second was held on Wednesday 3 September in Sheffield, click here to read about the day
.
We will subsequently be inviting organisations and agencies from the wider arts and cultural sector to engage in this conversation. Information on how to do this will be posted on our website in due course. In the meantime if you have any questions or would like to talk in more detail about Thrive! and the opportunities it presents, email
